The Influence Of Development, Poverty, And The Amount Of Infaq Payments On The Human Development Index In West Java Province

West Java Province continues to face serious challenges in the socio-economic sector, particularly regarding the high unemployment rate. The imbalance between the number Of available workers and employment opportunities has triggered various negative impacts, such as decreased household income and increased crime rates. This study aims to analyze the influence of unemployment, poverty, and the amount of infaq payments on the Human Development Index (HDI). The research was conducted across regencies/cities in West Java Province over the 2020–2024 period, using 135 observations and panel data regression analysis.
The research findings are as follows: (1) The unemployment variable partially has no Significant effect on the Human Development Index in West Java Province. The t-statistic value Is 0.330285 < t-table 2.059538 with a significance level of 0.7418 > 0.05, thus H0 is accepted And H1 is rejected. (2) The poverty variable partially has no significant effect on the Human Development Index in West Java Province. The t-statistic value is 0.375931 < t-table 2.059538 with a significance level of 0.7077 > 0.05, thus H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. (3) The infaq payment variable partially has no significant effect on the Human Development Index in West Java Province. The t-statistic value is -0.779871 < t-table 2.059538 with a significance level of 0.4372 > 0.05, thus H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. (4) However, the variables of Unemployment, poverty, and infaq payments simultaneously have a significant effect on the Human Development Index in West Java Province. The F-statistic value is 3032.914 > F-table 3.027998 with a significance level of 0.000000 < 0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
